what oil does everyone use in there engine driven compressors? Should I just run a compressor oil, like a shop compressor? or stick with the A/C oil that the compressor was originally designed for?

second, where should I mount the check valve? should I have it at the compressor, to prevent backfeeding through the compressor when its off? should I put it at the tank, to prevent the tank from emptying if the line from the compressor ever fails? or should I do both?

What is the max pressure I can run with a york 210? I know with A/C , high side pressures can be 360 psi and up. I wouldn't go that high, but can I safely run 200 psi without issues?

Do I need a lead hose like with an electric compressor, or can I run DOT line right off the compressor?

i just ran normal compressor oil in mine for like a shop comp.and put a check valve at the tank no need to keep the line to the tank filled with air and by accident i pumped mine up to over 350 psi i had a guage that went to 350 and it was peged hard it to me five times of lifting the front up and down to get it off the peg and it still works great but i usually run about 200 to 250 psi and you need a leader hose atleast 14 inches long mine kept melting the dot line when i only had a 8 inch leader on it and i used hydraulic line that i had a ac end put on at my local parts store
hope that helps

Great, thanks

I already got the fittings from a local industrial supply store. I was thinking about running a leader hose to the firewall (to the oil/water trap) , then DOT line to the back.

I got my fittings from a local industrial supply place. Apparently they are just hydralic fittings. they are 1" UNS thread to 1/2" NPT thread. They where $10.
