need some insight

has anyone or know someone thats drilled and tapped a pool ball? if so what problems came up I'm understanding their hallow with a clay center like a bowling ball in assuming

im pretty sure the pool ball will be plastic all the way through it.

I have drilled and tapped an 8 ball, it was a long time ago but I don't remember having any problems.

Pool balls are made of a weird acrylic type material that is very hard. They are solid all the way through, at least the ones we have broken are.

oh I got shithoused drunk the other night and a ball fallowed me home so I'm going to fix the striped out shift knob on my toyota

I would just drill it and glue a threaded insert in it. I think just cutting threads, they will strip out easily.

I drilled and tapped an 8-Ball for my sisters Austin Mini 8 years ago. It is still going strong and has been shifted hard thousands of times.

You could strip it if you tried no doubt, but its not like you pull up on a shift lever.
