Considering a Bell 5/8 static drop on my '91 C3500. Will the truck still get over most obstacles at this height or will it bang in to every other speed bump?

Thx

No it is just right with a 29 inch tire. Only problem i have is my cnotch bangs on dips. When I pull the bed off im going to bring it up a little higher.. But if I air up my helper bags its nice

Thx.

So maybe a more aggessive C-notch? Be nice to leave the floor alone.

Nice ride BTW...

Yea thats what I would do. Most people on here like bags. I might go that route in the front one day if my 5-8 dont look good with the semis on it will no in a few weeks.

Mine is 5-8 bell tech and have no problems, you might have to roll the fender lips depending on your stock front tire size.when the nose dives because of freeway dips...19s clear fine....22?
rear never bottoms out... also have helper bags,5-8 is drivable and towable... as with any lowered vehicle, you always want lower....static wises, its perfect...rear helper bags is a must if you are going to work the truck

What size wheel are you planing on running? On 16's which I hate but don't have the $ to upgrade right now that much drop will cause your engine cross member to hit alot in about 1 to 2 years the weight of the truck will wear on the front springs and cause them to settle. You are better off bagging, starting with the front isnt to costly. Then you can do the back later.

I can't tell you all that for sure! What i CAN tell you GIOVANNI is that my 2000 crewcab has a 5/7 drop on it, had been installed about 3 years before i got the truck and the day i bought it, coming home hit a bridge on the Western Kentucky Parkway ( wonderful road) and lost about 10 mph the cross member hit so hard! the truck hits many places, speed bumps, potholes ect, so I decided to bag it and put a stop to that. PLUS a month after buying the truck on the way to a classic car auction my best bud was following me in the truck so everyone would have a ride home, the left front tire blew out, since the truck sets so low there was nowhere for the tire to go and beat the total shit out of the fender and door, so it went in the shop, figured I'd go ahead and shave everything before we painted it, after starting the project I got laid off and don't have the $ to work on it so now its sitting in the same spot for 4 years! SO i would save a lot of trouble and bag at least the front since it's fairly easy, then when the money comes you can do the back!
