Hi, new guy here...Figured this would be the only place to get an answer to My question. So, I have a lowered 96 QuadCab 3500 that never sees anything however then a motorcycle and never has to tow..I'm going lower next week and really need a lower profile tire then is offered for hd trucks..I know the load range thing and legality of mounting a light truck or passenger car tire on a dually but I wanted t see if anyone else had said F*#@k it and mounted lighter tires with no problems? One again, no towing, just a beat around town ratty rig.... I'm more concerned about a pot hole blowing out a lower tire but wanted opinions..

Thanks...

Here are a few we have owned over the years and all have had 225/60/16s on them. All have been haulers also.

I put Primewell LT225/70R 16's on the front of mine way shorter than stock (no more rubbing) and they have load capacity of 1870 lbs, its a 6 ply truck tire and I got em on ebay for 85 bucks each shipped
