you DO either have to mod the crossmember, switch oil pans, or raise the motor though.

or if your shortening the rear, or have a little extra cash, have new axles or whatever made with the chevy pattern.

I kinda thought there would be some oil pan issues. It seems as though since I mentioned this idea to a few friends of mine that now I'm just a cheap bastard who wants the easy way out instead of spending 2000 on a front clip or 7000 on a new chassis. What ever happened to just building them to enjoy and not with every penny you have???

it's a pretty basic swap from my understanding. i was looking into an MII front, but people have had loads of problems with the arms ripping out of the hats on just static suspension, I wouldn't test it on adjustable.

I am going to use an s10 clip more than likely, but if need be, I can always use a FSC clip so I can lay a taller tire. I want to lay a 30 inch right now, thats a 22 with a somewhat decent tire.

i think the chevy would give you alot more lift and strength than the m2 sus. I think it would be nice to keep it all ford and try the new ford a-arm suspention. I havent ever tried any cause i started with my s10 and i was more willing to mess that one up learnin how to build one than to mess up my old truck lol.

Do a search for crown vic swap on the '64 ford... there's a site out there that details it a little and looks like a great way to go on those trucks....

wish i could still find it, but i can't!!!

Thanks for all the help guys. I never figured a thread I posted on here would actually yield so much useful info.
