Swappped axles and it lifted me an inch?

This is oodd.

I swapped axles on my 90 C1500 yesterday (the axle has been flipped already) and went from a 90 model 10-bolt to a 96 model 10-bolt and it lifted my truck an inch.

I know part of it is the spring perches I put on the 96 model is 1/4-inch shorter.

Is there a difference between the two as far as teh alxe tube diameter? Or what else coulf it be?

I was just told that it may be that the springs havent settled back in yet after being off of the truck.
