i need help im working on a 80' crew cab dually and im putting in a carrier bearing so far i removed the rear drive shaft and remove the two bolts that hold the carrier bearing everything is removed execpt the bearing it self how do i get that off... i tried prying on it but it dont move... one guy told me to cut it off but im not sure bout that i ws thinking about one of those puller that has the three arms to it but im not sure if there is one that is that long

u may be able to pull it they are a bitch after they have been on there for a while. i useually beat everything u can off, useually the actual bearing is seized up on there and i take a cut off wheel and cut the bearing off. good luck

If it doesn't come off with a BFH or some prying then you will have to cut it off. We typically use a die grinder or sawzall.

yes and now it is in......i win!!! i have about 3hrs total in it this was the frist one i did so now i think i can do it in less time i ended up useing the cut wheel i didnt even have to cut all the way thru it once i got about half of it cut it started to losen up and i took it off from there installed the new one and was on the road in no time
