legal LED tail light size?

in tx need red reflectors on outer most part of vehicle in the rear and on the rear most part on the sides. having leds that emmit a red color is needed too. (so having clear lense is ok just as long as its red when braking)
so with that being said i have 2 10" hitech leds in roll pan with clear lenses and on the stepshaver i have a 1.25'' led thats red for the side markers. no i dont have any reflectors yet but its red in back. hope this helps some

maybe i could use a little 1.5 led that turns on with my running tail lights as a "reflector".

it would be a step to try and have it legal...they sell like little 1.5 inch red ones and stock theres a little red ugly square reflector.

well my brake lights are also used as my running lighrs too. the side ones im going to wire as a running light and a signal too.

yah, sounds like what i meant haha. seems like it would atleast show em im TRYING to be as legal as I can without having some ugly bulky reflectors (like my stock ones are)

lol, typically the police here wont look twice. its the tropper here you really worry about.

as far as not having reflectors u get away with that by always having the lights on, that is legal, if they are off and there is no reflectors then yes its illegal, what state are u in? in cali u have to have something on the side to be legal, u have to see the light from the side

i live in louisiana and i was told the only law on tail lights is that there had to be at least a left and right side. i'm running 2 9.5'' leds in my rollpan and there only red with no reverse. thank goodness i know people who inspect

hell, here in MS all they say is "hit your blinker, hit you low and high lights, hit your breaks"
