cd player error

i bought a 99 s10 today and the stock cd player will play the radio but wont play any disc burnt or store bought it always reads error any ideas here?

mine did that that i had transplanted into my 1st gen s10.. from what i've read, its notorious for them to go bad.

go aftermarket.. much cheaper than what it would cost to fix it.

for sure just go to your local stereo shop you can pick up a cheap deck fstarting at 100 bucks, wire harness and install kit about 30 bucks and your good to go.
