hey man i got my 91 back on the road. i put a water pump, a head gasket, and a timing belt in it. i got it back together fired right up but now when you give it gas it has a hesitation then it takes. it is like dead pedal then instant power. it drives fine it just has a dead spot in the throttle. got any idea? it is not timing so i assume something in gas delivery???

one more thing russ, how do you adjust the idle on the FI trucks?

sounds like the throttle position switch on the throttle body.

you can only set base idle on the EFI trucks, then the computer fights any changes.

did you double check the timing marks be a 1/2 tooth or tooth off will give you hesitaion when you first hit the gas.
