what is the rule of thumb for stock steel 8 lug srw trucks is it ford wheels fits chev but chev won't fit ford or is it the other way around?
I need an answer cause I got a fish on the line that wants all my 8 lug wheels

First answer. A grinder and flip flops until the tire fits on the wheel
Ford and Chevy wheels are the same 8x6.5 pattern until Ford came out with the super duty pattern which is 8x170mm, I think. In 99? I know the new ones are different and I think that is right.

Above is the link to my tech write up on DRW applications. Same parameters apply to 8lug SRW trucks in most cases.
Ford 8 lug wheels up to the year 1998 will fit on all Chevy 8 lug trucks up to the year 2000. However they will not be hub centric, so use a conical lugnut if possible.

yea I'm getting it now the hub size is bigger on the ford so my stock chev wheels won't fit but they would bolt up if it wasnt for fords super sizeing the shit

Matt, You are correct. Patterns are the same but Ford has a bigger hub bore.
