What kinda of CNC? There are several kinds, lathes, vertical mills, horizontal mills, lasers, waterjets, plasma cutters, band saws, just to name a few. Seems like the hottest thing now is 2D cutting like lasers, plasmas, and waterjets, for making brackets and flat parts. CNC lathe would be great for 4-link bars, bungs, bushings, well anything else that needs turned. You can do alot of the things listed above in a CNC mill but it might be easier to use a different machine. You know what the say, the right tool for the right job.

Nice I run a VF-5 and we program with Powermill. With the lathe I would be looking at 4-link bars, threaded ends, weld in threaded bungs, stuff like that. Throw a bar feeder on the end and cut for days. With the mill I would make anything I wanted in 3D.
