Carb Issues ?

A guy up the street has a Std Cab 2200 for sale $500 bucks, carburated 2.2 it wont stay running unless I keep pumpig the gas then or it will die Should I go ahead and buy it without knowing the problem and take a gamble at it or does anyone know what the problem is for sure ?

Sometimes I get that problem, especially after it warms up. So some say maybe a vaccuum problem, but I still haven't dove into it to fix it either. Russ-D might know.

i would buy it and go ahead and just stick a weber on it. i was havin a problem kinda like that and put a weber on mine and it ran perfect. it also cleans up the engine compartment a lot because you get rid of all the emissions crap

I would love to have a Weber, but Cali is too strict with emission regulations

thats one of the few reasons i like livin in WA, cuz we dont have to deal with all that.

check the vacuums and see if he has the idle and etc. set right..i get my webber adapter monday...sweeeeet

need more info, is the engine cold or warm or does it matter? Sounds like the choke could be stuck open, or the jets could be gummed up and it is running only on the accel pump.

I got a couple questions. I need to know how to adjust the idle down. I dont wanna get under the hood and just start adjust shit and it makes more sense to ask if I dont know.
