Drilling cast diff housing 'fins'

Is there any concern in doing this?? I am looking at fabbing up a bracket that needs to mount to the front of my diff housing.

I wouldn't think so. The fins are assuming that you are going to abuse the thirdmember, but in a mini application, that is a rarity. Be sure to deburr the holes real good, otherwise you will end up with a broken fin.
