Heads for my 94

I think I want to upgrade the heads on my 94. Dont wanna spend for alumninum right now. Can I goto gen VI without messing the computer up? Or should I just have mine port, polished and 3 angled?

i would go the port polish and 3 angle valve job for the money. i think performance wise you would get more bang for your buck that way. i dont think switching to later model heads would be much of a gain for it. is the rest of the engine stock? if so, consider a cam, lifters and spring kit for it to really get some ummmph out it!! later, brian

i can get a set of vortech gen VI heads for 125 bucks a pair. I wondered if they flowed better. I thought I read that the heads were a real issue on these trucks.
