Is your significant other supportive of your minitruckin? Mine hates it and says i am acting like i am 16 and need to grow up. She says i work in a professional enviorment and should not drive my mini to work everyday. What do your significant others say?

My girl likes it. She wants to build her own truck.

When I first moved up here back in May, I drove my truck to work every day. My wife liked to show it to her co-workers. For the most part, all of the big wigs at my company liked it. I even had to show the CEO how the airride worked. It actually impressed him that I could do that on my own. Having a mini is no different than having an old rod or an old muscle car. Deep down its the same passion for customization that drives us all. Im lucky, my wife realizes it.

The day that I go out with a girl that wants nothing to do with my truck, and tells me I shouldn't drive it will be the day I grab some rope and hang myself from the rafters.

I wouldn't be able to handle a chick like that and she'd soon get the boot, i'd rather be single and keep on with my promiscouis ways

My wife doesn't love it but she says it makes me happy so she doesn't complain too much. We have it worked out so I take a little out of every pay check to work on my truck and for car shows. Only part she gets tired of is when I'm gone all weekend to shows. She doesn't enjoy going to them all weekend. But I still go as long as I plan something for just the two of us to do.

yea my gf just doesn't say much, she doesn't really understand but she knows that it makes me happy so she just keeps her mouth shut. she does give me the whole "you love you truck more than you love me" I then respond "no baby, ya'll are equal" kinda a running joke we have going. she gets more frustrated with the fact that i'll spend 2 hours polishing rims rather than going out and doing something. but i've learned that as long as i find "us" time i can plenty of "me time" with my truck. she does go to shows with me but gets totally lost when i start talking about bodydrops and 4-link vs. 2-links, and wiring up a system, etc.
