You're not thinking of stretching regular 22" tires over the 22.5" are you? I think the shortest 22.5" tire is like 38" high. I could be wrong, hopefully lock or someotherguy will chime in, they would know better than me. But steel 22.5" weigh a lot and that weight will be noticeable.

No i'm not going to stretch the tire lord now i want to but i now its to risky. The weight of the steel wheels is that much heavier i know there heavy but is it that much that it would hurt anything. Is aluminum that much lighter?

Lock is the pro, I'm not even an amateur by comparison, just dicked around a little with some different wheels here and there.

Just FYI quickie bathroom scale ballpark weights: 16" dually steel 35 pounds, 19.5" dually (3500HD) steel wheel 45 pounds. Ricksons shows some of the steel 19.5 they have being 48 to 60 pounds depending on the model, with the aluminum 19.5's being 30 lbs, that's lighter than the 16" steelie I weighed.

Dunno what a 22.5" steel weighs but I bet it's close to 75 lbs or more as it will be thicker for a heavier load rating since it's a medium duty and semi wheel.

Heavy rollers suck balls for acceleration, braking, and handling...

Thanks for the help I"ve got a set of 22.5 steels laying around and i wanted to try them maybe i can run across a set of aluminum someday i'll see if i can find some tires to put on them and go from there on the suspension.
