frame cut crewcab f150

has anyone cut the off the bottom of the frame that hangs so low and reboxed it in. i want to get the body lower just not ready for the complete body drop. so would taking an inch or so from under the frame help? tranny and stuff should still clear but have to redo cross member.

someone makes a crossmember i think its grant...or devious?
