Cab placement

First off hey guys. I dont log on much but enjoy seeing projects and reading forums. I have a question about moving the cab to not tub the firewall. im planning for bd on 22s and didnt know how far the cab is slid back or even if it is. any info is appreciated. Its an 85 btw

I'm thinking about doing this. But you move the cab too much and the wheels wont be centered. With the squarebodies it's the fact that the wheels move back at full drop that causes a problem. Some guys say just adding alignment spacers will take care of it. You don't have to tub much for 22's.

Not sure on the SQ bodies but on my 94 we moved it back about an inch or so. Not enought to notice but got away without any tubs on 22s with 255/30/22s.

one inch centers the wheels layed out worked for me hope it helps you out

did you have to tub to run the 24's? if so, how much. later,brian

Brian, I have about 3" tubs or so. Its hard to gauge cause we just rebuilt the whole firewall.
