damn you threw down alot of money!!!!! for that kind of ching i could quit my job and work on trucks fulltime! i agree with working on your own stuff, just last night i kicked myself in the nuts for not finishing my upper bars by the deadline. of course if you can't do everything yourself it's always nice to have someone you know very well that'll help.

thats the problem paying up front. Most ggod shops will take some down and rest when done. we ask for 1/2 down and rest when finished. that means we want he job tone in a timley manner at right or we dont get our money. if a shop wants you to pay up front look else where thats tyhe best advice i can give on shops. wanting some money down is only fair parts cost money and not everyone has large bank accounts to front all the parts for a job. I have heard so many stories like this on SSM over the years, and other stories about shops around here, Do these shop owners eventually go into hiding? or do they get killed? or what? Just wondering why we never here of any one getting BEAT!

I do work for people and I get it done, some times it is late,(but it is no longer my full time gig so I have other stuff going on) but it gets done right and they pay for parts and labor as we go along, I dont collect money in advance for anything other than the initial deposit for parts. I wouldnt want a gang of pissed off people knocking on my door looking for redemption!

I got screwed twice in a row on my truck too bro. hate to hear that, hope you get shit taken care of

I don't think some of these shops really care about customer service. They already have the exposure in magazines and such to have plenty of "suckas" to come in and spend their money. 16 year old kids with daddy's money ussually don't care that much, that's where they make all their money. Meanwhile, they screw all the real minitruckers.

sorry to hear about that I hade my frontier bodydropped over at Kingpin by skip and now the truck dosent run and it is costing me out the a.. to get it fixed but I learned not to take it to someone that is going to do a half ass job so good luck man
