im working on a 71 monte on air and trying to lay it out on some 20s and right now i took the springs out on stock wheels and it dosent lay out i need to notch the rear and cut the drive line tunnel higher, the front is gona need spindels .........good luck on your project

uhm sorry, but whats "notching"? I already read some stuff bout that, but its not 100% clear what does it mean...
I think "notching" is this something like what I did to a modelcar-frame, right?

That's what notching is, but I'm not sure you'll have to do it on your '79. The '71 has a different frame underneath it if I'm not mistaken.
The best way to know for sure is to take your shocks and coils out, jack up the axle, and see if you have enough drop to hit the ground!
If something stops you from going all the way down, get under there and see what it is- and get ready to cut it out of the way!
