I'm about to mount my brake controller in my truck, but I can't decide on a location to mount it. I'm wanting something alittle nicer than just mounting it to the access panel under the steering colum, so I'm wondering where you guys, that have them, have mounted them, or any sugguestions or ideas for a nice place to mount it...

no center console, and this is in my 99 GMC Sierra. I'm lookin for "factory looking" ideas... come on guys, I know some of you have to have trailer brake controllers...

what kind of controller is it some have more mounting range that others I have a prodigy and it is mounted under my dash I am looking to get a new one like max brake or e brake as the are better and more flexable to mount I thought about putting mine in the ash tray as I don't smoke and I have a factory change holder in the center console

the controller I have is a Curt - Navigator 3. There's not "a whole lot" of ways to mount the controller itself, but I'm not worried about that, it has a digital read out of what's going on with the trailer that I'd like to keep in view, but I just want a nicer, or more factory looking mounting location than just under the dash.. that's too damn boring...

Do you have any pics of the controller or dash? That might help get the ideas rolling

What about cutting a slot in the dash and just having the face protrude through. Kind of like how a deck mounts in the dash??
