Ya well my 04 Colorado got done by those genius's (and I'm not proud to admit it) and I had to redo a lot of their work...

So ya I'd believe all sorts of shady work coming out of that "shop"...

Corey.........you want to tell all of the folks here the WHOLE story? Do you want to tell them about how I practally BEGGED you to bring your truck back to get it repaired or reengineered and you were too busy....and that I offered to drive several states to come look at your truck to figure out what happened and bring it back to my shop to repair it(the night/weekend this happened)...all on my time and money. It's kinda hard to fix a truck that is not at my shop. Corey....We have had this conversation many times, you know what happened to your truck and I NEVER got a chance to inspect the truck to see what happened. Doesn't sound too fair to me. I will end my response the same way I have ended ALL of my letters and conversations to you...LET ME INSPECT THE TRUCK OR BRING IT TO MY SHOP FOR REPAIRS OR WE HAVE NOTHING MORE TO DISCUSS.

The main structure of a SINGLE cab is not really in the roof at all. It is in the cowl/hinge pillar area. (that is why during a rollover the roof is crushed) On a short cab style, the cab wall and pillars (as long as the body is bolted to a stock frame) doesn't move at all. If we were chopping an extra cab, crew, suburban, or a car (or if this single cab was not on a factory frame)you can be certain that it would need to be braced. The posts did not move AT ALL when this cab was cut UNBRACED. Do you see any convertible trucks with no top at all with PERMANENT bracing?. Do they need a rollbar?
If anyone on this post has been involved in a top chop I would like you to post up some pics of your progress. I would love to see them since all of you have obviously seen mine..........

I'm not dogging on you Mike, but I'm just going to say that looks can be deceiving... The truth of the matter was the wishbone of the 3 link built for my truck was made without a pivot point AND the tubing walls were thinner than bicycle tubing... I have the POS hanging on my garage wall still. I didn't make it hardly over 400 miles with that on before it broke. So far this year I've put over 8K and had 0 problems thanks to SD's wishbone with super pivot they made for me.

Plain and simple the repairs were NOT going to be made for free (as stated by John) and I don't trailer my vehicle and I sure as hell wasn't going to drive it with that excuse for a link in it. I simply wanted a new link made by Suicide Doors (because I didn't and never will trust anything that CCC tries to make.) and I would bid that shop ado...

EVEN when I told him I couldn't take it down there and I said he could come and get it, he gave me a run around about how his insurance wouldn't cover my vehicle during an accident if he hauled it. ASSUMING he was going to pull something like this when I'd say this I asked my insurance company (prior to that conversation) if I would be covered and they said yes although they didn't understand why his insurance wouldn't cover it. When I told John that he said he "had to go" immediately and hung up. Funny thing is before I got the work done on my truck he clearly stated he would be able to haul my vehicle (at a fee of course) down to his shop to get work done!

This year when I went to S-Series Nationals all I ever heard from ANYONE when talking about their shop is how they didn't like the way CCC does business and their enormous lack of customer service. At ITB this year I talked to a fellow employee of Johns and the first thing he said was he was "worried" about my truck and my well being after he left.

Maybe John could explain why another customer with a Colorado that was getting work done at his shop pulled his truck out of their and is now getting work done else where...

I'm not fabricating stories off the top of my head, I'm simply stating the FACTS of my experience with this shop and the people I've met throughout the scene! It would be a completely different story if I was an outside bystander that is going off of hear say, but the fact is I'm a former customer that wasn't satisfied by their work.

Now that everyone has that weird feeling like daddy just hit mommy at the dinner table, lets get back to those Mullets! haha
