Adapter question

My adapter look almost identical to these (I hope Wide Load C-30 Doesn't mind me using his picture)

One thing I can't tell is the lug holes in the adapters look like they are coned for a normal lug nut

Mine are not they are completely flat is this normal?

Yeah, your adapters are normal. The adapters on my Ford were flat too. In fact, I think these are the only adapters I have seen that are not flat. I bought the adapters for my squarebody (the ones in your post) off of craigslist. They are steel, hubcentric, and in great shape, so i bought them. The guy I bought them off of was running them on an 87 CC dually lifted on 22.5's. I want to run the washer style lugnuts on these adapters though.

my opinion... run the acorn lugs it will keep it from vibrating on the highway.

So what should I be looking for as far as lug nuts for my adapters? Something similar to the big ones? I bought my truck w/ the adapters and 22s on it, and they were using the stock style lugnuts, I don't think that is right.

Another thing I am curious about the part that holds the 10 lug rim concentric (circled in my pic) is the same width on all my adapters, but two of the adapters have way longer studs. The truck came w/ four 22s and two teenagers but I want to swap all six to 22s. Will I need to get different adapters for the rear?

And if your adapters are flat you should run the washer style lug nuts.

I guess that makes sense. If I ran the washer style lug nuts on my adapters it would kind of be like running acorn lugs backwards, which would not be good.

thats what I was afraid of. well that sucks. Looks like i'll still be running teenagers on the inside. Thanks for your help.
