flipping tie rods?

My tie rods are in a bind and I want to flip them. They are tappered and will not go into the hole upside down. How are you guys doing this? Can I just drill them out do they make an insert or a sleeve to fix this problem? Oh yea it is for a 2006 dodge megacab.

you can buy special tapered drilbits for that and have seen it done before

You have to buy a tapered bit. Your local qualtiy tool shop should accomidate you. Make sure you do it right the first time or you'll be buyin new spindels or some really big tie-rod-ends.
