I got a front hi-pinion dana 44 out of a 79 ford f-250. A guy wants to buy it. I pulled the axle shafts and one rotor is broken. I also torched off the leaf spring and shock mounts. It is 4:10 geared. I don't need top dollar but I don't want to give it away either. Anyone know a fair price?
It's typically the Jeep guys who want them, and those guys are pricks.
Rake him over the coals.
Tell him you want 10,000 U.S.
I already told him $200 for the set front hp 44 rear posi 60. But he just wants the front. I would think it would be the more valuable of the two. The rears are in everything. Got to have 4x4 to get the front.
He don't seem to bad, but just been a few emails. I aint going to ever use it unfortunately.
Or maybe I should start on a tube framed rock crawler.
only if it a dually rock crawler
being a high pinion housing I would ask 150-175. Since it has no axles and needs brakes. I would be interested in it. Isn't one of the leaf pads cast in?
I got the axle shafts and most of the brake components. One of the rotors was broke. I think all you would need is calipers and I think I got a set of core ones around. I don't remember on the leaf pads.
Can't I use the dually to pull it to the rocks?
