how to set a sale price?

i am looking in to putting my truck up for sale. i know about all the different forums and online classifieds. i just don't know on how to go about setting a sale price for it. i know what the blue book says but because of the work done on it how do you go about setting a good price? Any help would be appreciated.

how much you have into it - 50% = selling price. lol
in this market there isnt much turnaround for profit in a sale, no matter what usually, but there are exceptions to the rule.
if you are selling your dakota i think honestly to get it sold you would have to put it up for around 8k obo and take 6 or 7

look at the low trade in book value, thats what a bank will give someone a loan for when they are buying a vehicle. go from there. dont expect to get more that about 1500 over that because most minitruckers dont have that kind of money laying around. there are some exceptions though....hope that helps.
