Crew Cab Questions...

Okay i have a few questions about the 99+ body style F/S crew cabs

What years did(yes, i know they still do) they make them in crew cab?

Can you get them with any other engine than the 5.7L? (possibly a V6? maybe even duramax?)

Do they all have the same suspension and frame as the 4WD versions? (obviously the hubs/spindles are different and minus the tranny, transfer case, and front diff)

I have a 07' classic with a small v-8. As far as I know the frame is different.

How small?

Do you know the displacement?

i have a 06 with the 4.8l v8 same basic frame as the 99+ but they offered 2 different frames under it one is the regular coiul front suspension the other is a torsion style like under the tahoes

motors available are the 4.8 5.3 and 6.0

And i thought the 06 was the same body as the 99+...?

So there was actually an option between coil and torsion?!

like said above on newer once i guess chevy from what i was told by friend at dealership "ran out of frames" and started using torsion now. My friend has '07 classic bodystyle and we were pickin up parts for the front and the 1st question we were asked was "is it control arms or torsion bars...the 07's arent all the same"

I just bought a 06. It has the 4.8 and coils up front. Now it is time to start buying some parts. LOL. Gets decent gas mileage. A lot better than my yukon did, that is for sure. It had the 5.3

the 1500 hd has torsion bars as well as the 4x4s. regular 1500 has coils
