does anybody know if a 89 mazda b2200 engine and transmission will fit into a 87 b2600 2wheel drive. will the drive line be the same drive line?

nope, even the frame where the motor mounts is different. The 87 B2600 has the exhaust on the passenger side.
If you are needing a motor for your 87 B2600, the 2.6 is a mitsubishi made engine sold to mazda for that truck only. You can find them in the same year mitsubishis like d50's, N/A conquests and starions, and even a minivan had that motor.
