any body know how to fix a po370 code on a 2003 chevy diesel hd people tell me it could be injection pump or short in harness let me know if anybody has experience this problem

Customer Concern: No start. History Electronic Control Module (ECM) DTC P0370, U1800, B2960. Cleared codes, current DTC U1800. The engine started after pumping the primer on the fuel filter housing.
Tests/Procedures: 1. Check ECM codes with another brand scanner like a Tech 2.
2. Connect a vacuum/pressure gauge to the fuel supply test port by the alternator.
3. Pump the primer to 10 PSI. After 4 minutes there should be 5 PSI on the gauge and it should hold.
4. If the pressure does not hold, recheck for a leak down with the fuel supply line blocked at different locations to isolate the leak.
Potential Causes: Air leak, low pressure supply line

Possible Causes Setting Conditions
Engine speed signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or power
FICM has failed
PCM has failed
Engine cranking or running, and the FICM did not receive any CKP sensor signals, or it detected an invalid CKP sensor signal. This signal is replicated and sent to the FICM as an engine speed signal. Note: A loss of this signal can cause a No Start condition to occur.

MIL Operation This code will turn on the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp). Lamp information includes a thorough explanation with related graphics.
