22.5's Q&A

Okay So I been researching all I can on 22.5" wheels And I have some ?'s. What style of mounting is used Hub or pilot?? Do these wheels mount up just like they would on a rig, can u use a reg impact or do you need the heavy duty one like we use on rigs. What combo's can you run and what are the pro's and con's, such as 22 out 16 in, or 22's out and in. If you did run an inner 16 what method is used to mount that combo, I know generally what you do, 16 adapter then 22 but anything else?? And Ive come across the 19.5x6 alcoa style wheel that eagle makes, has anyone milled these down to 19" since they are direct bolt pattern and dont require adapters?? Thanks for all the info. If there is anything anyone else could add please feel free.

Your not searching very hard. This topic has been exhausted to death so many times here. Everyone is sick to death of answering the same questions over and over and over time and time again. I have no clue why there is not a sticky for semis, but it's not hard to find the info.

Do a search. I swear to you you'll get nothing short of 1,000,000 posts on the same exact questions you just asked.

Yea I totally got you guys now, Im all up to date on this now, just had to go farther back then I did at first. Im not wanting to step on any toes, and I definately didnt need to be told not to ask how to machine the wheels thats an obvious one. lol

what i would do is get a thingamagig and put it on the whatchamalcvallit

after you get the whatchamacall it on get your grinder and grind down that pesty 1/4 inch of metal donr be scard just grind away then get you 22 inch tire and force it on the rim dont worry about the sound of metel cracking it just the steel belts in the tire and we dont need them iny ways
now get you nitro tank and blast like 400 psi in the tire make shur you have a good valve and the tire should seat for ya it it dont it will just blow off and you might be able to try agin after you get your self up off the ground.all so who need adapters i just welded mine on with some 1/2 inch plate. heheh

we should have the 24.5/22.5 big rig wheels questions/answers in the technical section with pictures (i can't read)
and other odd ball size wheels to,like 20"
would make life easier, also one on off the shelf bag set ups
and custom setups...JMO
