tail light works, brake light and trun signal do not?

My bro-in-law bought my 91 ext cab from me earlier this year and called me to ask a ? yesterday. He said his right side tail light works but the brake light and turn signal on that side does not. He said he replaced the bulb with a new one. So i told him to bring it over tomorrow and i would try to run it down. you guys have any suggestions on what to look for or what may be the problem? Thanks!!

check the fuse, and check the bulb again, also check the wires for a short

sq body or no ? could be the circuit board on back of the light if it is the 88-98 body style they are known to go out.. had same problem on time and trhat was the issue
