I finally found someone to do an exhaust with no cat with out breaking it off in my ass. I changed to a weber carb and put a pacesetter header on it before the exhaust. The exhaust is a 2" into a turbo muffler. It runs rough and has no power to it. It sounds like I have an exhaust leak also. I need to check to see if I have a leak, but is there something else I missing? Did I mess it up driving it 5 miles to the muffler shop open header? Anyone offer any directions to go in
I have the EXACT same problem, does your stink??? my truck will put some stankonya... anyway, it has been this way over a year and i only drive it occasionlly, but i would still like to find the problem. Oh...i Have the header, no cat, stock carb, cherry bomb muffler. I just figured it was b/c i unhooked the sog pump, pluged some carb holes and took off the cat.
Mine smells like gas when I set for a min. but I it looks like my fuel pump might be leaking also. Does anyone have their throttle cable running across the valve cover? Anyone with a Weber does your throttle sit facing forward or is it on the backside facing the firewall.
on my weber my throttle sits facing forward and yeah cable goes across the valve cover.. It pissed me off that I had to buy another cable since the stock one is too short, I used one off of like a 89 or 90 model MX6 I think it was.. about twice as long prolly too long but better to be to long than too short.
