Model A type stuff or of that general idea. A friend of mine is in the process of building one and Id like to give him some ideas as to what type of link setup to run in the back with bags and so forth. Please post pics if you have them!

most true rat rods wouldnt run bags but if hes looking to build a knock off he should go parallel with a watts and bags infront of the axle and shockwaves up front.

I would go with a canti in the rear, the interior of most rods isn't used for anything important

Sorry I don't have any pics to help you out. But I would like to disagree with Big Joe on "most true rat rods wouldnt run bags but if hes looking to build a knock off..." A "true" rat rod is simply a patina'd car of the 40's or 50's with an untraditional style. Not necessarily a vehicle with a stactic suspension. Good luck with the build.
You can use hydraulics and run accumulators also. Just use the hydraulic cylinder instead of a shock with coil overs.

well then me and you have different opinions of rat rods.
I view them as low as fuck coups chopped, sectioned, running big ass motors, open hedders, running ford i beam axle front, transverse leafs, i would say that tractor parts and unconventional parts added in...
