are you recommending these because you have used them before? Or because you think its a good idea?

Because using an IRS with U joints on an adjustable suspension truck really isnt the greatest choice. Maybe if you static dropped it, but bagged it will be miserable to set up.

The Toyo IRS has CV's though, its a lot more tolerant of height changes.

not at all the same lug pattern but rx7, thunderbird, 300zx, toyota supra....youre gonna have to build a rear clip to house it anyway, so the type of rearend you use isnt really gonna matter. i dont know of any that have the same pattern, not saying there arent any, just none taht come to mind. the corvette maybe, but youll have to shorten it like 8 inches...not sure about the jag

New Corvette body's C-5 and C-6 are using half shafts w/constant velocity (CV) joints in their rear setups. They have not used the U-joints in the rear axles for some time now. Down side to the new rear assy is that the transmissions are mounted directly to them. Not sure of any kits available to easily adapt these to a conventional driveline. I have seen plenty of IRSs used from rx7s before as well. I can't truely say that any of them is better than the other. It all just depends on what you ultimately want to do w/it. Do some research on all the rear ends suggested and go from there based on your plans for it. Hope this helps some.

just did a 94 vette irs in a 99 s10...there a pain in the ass to set up..specailly since u have to take 8" out of it to fit under a s10. i'm gettn 8" out of it. it can go 9" but the spindle with start to rub on the halfshaft. when i first set it up i was having bad camber and toe issues through the travel, but redid the setup and re enginerd my bars now the tire stays straight through out the whole travel. i got a video of how it travels i might post if your interested..

I feel like a parrot sometimes...

I can put together the parts to do anything you want to. I have found that most of the factory IRS systems don't like air. And the stuff I use is very versitile (spelling?) I can sell you just the parts to build your own system or build the entire system for you to weld in.
