couple of engine questions...thanks

sup guys.. i just bought a chevy s10 with a 350 i have been doing some work to it like. new intake carb wiring an so on.. my questions are





1.my block is like an 86 were those it takes the thermostat under the water neck on the intake or with the water pump.



2.do valve covers have to have have breathers and if it dont will something happen to the valve train

im not 100% shurewith out seeing it but your thermostat should be under the water neck and you should have atleast one breather or else it will build up crankcase pressure and possibly blow out a gasket
