Cops suck!!

So I was on my way home from work today and was getting ready to go up the entrance ramp and there was 4 state patrol on the side of the road stopin people, I get flaged over and I asked why he was stoping me, he starts with no front plate, window sticker on the top of my front window, window tint, he said my truck was taged wrong(I have personalized plates) He was wrong about that one, and my spike lugnut covers were out past my fenders, which he made me get out and take them off, After about 20-25 min on the side of the road he comes back and gives me a warning for all that, got lucky but what a waste of my time.

The Cop's a dick because you broke the law he was doing his job when he stopped you, and on top of all that, he let you off with a warning?

Oh yeah, what a total asshole.

C'mon Dude. The stop was legit. You're pissed cause you got caught and made out to look like a fool on the side of the highway and now your pride hurts.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but 99.5% of these posts about why Cop's suck are totally rediculous.

Nobody likes getting caught, but be a Man and own up to it.

on his side the cops here do suck when it comes to custom stuff. maybe it's lack of seeing it everyday or something. I got pulled over in my toy for loud exhaust and while we were talking about it a unmuffeld harley rides by and he is unfazed. When I asked about it he was unaware of the motorcycle in question...so yeah like campy said they are doing there job but come on we live in the meth lab capital of the usa..use your time a little more productivly

Maybe that particular Cop had traffic detail that day. That's the way it works in most departments. Each shift one or two officers gets traffic duty and the others get regular patrol.

Deputy's don't serve arrest warrants and they don't raid meth labs...that's the Detective's/D.E.A.'s/F.B.I.'s/A.T.F.'s dept. The Cop's in the cruisers are there to write tickets and babysit. All the items that people list as what they think the Cop's should really be doing are all above the typical Deputy's pay grade.

He gets to do those things after he gets promoted for writing enough tickets.

idk how it is up there but it seems like cops should have better things to do than stop people for b/s stuff like that. i can see if you were speeding/dragging or something really wrong. it just seems like a waste of time for a cop to give some one shit about lugnut covers and windsheild stickers.

so do they stop big rigs who run spikes on there wheels. i dont think we have that law in texas.

My pride was not hurt for being stoped, I just think it is bullshit that the cops have a little pow wow on a entrance ramp trying to find stuff wrong with your ride. If I was being stupid and got stoped and he wanted to find everything wrong with my truck go ahead. A tow truck driver that was there towing someones car said they have been sitting on the ramp all morning doing this, I think 4 state patrols could be out doing better things then sitting on an entrance ramp.

hmmm spikes out past the fenders.. gee show me a dually that with standard lugs sits with in the fender lip.. hahahah .. the windsheild sticker thing i can see cause here in florida your allowed 6 inches from top of windsheild.. and tint has to be 30 % or greater, the state patrol does the same here they will gang up at the entrance to of the hathaway bridge and will pull people over left and right coming off the fly over to get to the bridge.. but most of the time shit that i have been pulled over for is bullshit cause he had nothing better to do cause when he tried to tell me this an dthat is illegal, i ask him NICLEY to show me the city and state ordinance that states that i can not alter the suspension or i can ride low as long as i am not adjusting the ride height while going over 15 if under that speed you can adjust the height as long as you dont drag. at least that is what the cop told me

i get pulled over all the time here in texas because we still have the stupid front license plate law. well the law simply states that you have to have a plate visible from the front and one visible from the rear. well i just leave mine in the windshield and get pulled over all the time because of it. when they tell me that its illegal i tell them no its legal where it is (in a very polite voice then pull out my copy of the law ) of course they just look at me and tell me that it means the very front of the truck but thats not how the law reads . so they never wright me a ticket but its just a hassel to have to go through that.

how many vettes do you see without a front plate at all(almost all of them) and i bet they dont just pull them over for that.
