diesel or gas..

i whant to buy a crew cab chevy dually1990-1994 square dash... whats better diesel 6.5 or gas 454 thanks

mine's a 454 & i've got no complaints & with diesel fuel being more expensive than gas......
just something else to think about.

Diesel all the way

Diesel is great for towing and I love mine. On the flip side it costs a load to fix and repair anything, oil changes get expensive. 454 is a great engine and should do great for you. Guess it boils down to personal preference and what you plan on towing with the truck. Good luck

For that year truck Id go with the 454. Ive heard those year diesels were pretty gutless. Now if you were talking about a new bodystyle with the Duramax it would be another story.

FROM WHAT I KNOW 454'S GET SHITTY GAS MILIAGE AND LESS POWER/TORQUE

as long as the diesel isnt the modded Olds Rocket, id go with diesel. im not sure when GM realized that that engine was junk. who'd think that a block designed for gasoline cant handle 22:1 compression required for diesel applications??
