Mine was updated with no problems, resetting your homepage isnt a problem. Try and find your bookmarks by doing this...start>search>all files or folders> and search for *bookmarks*.* Just like that. Make sure in the look in box you have local drives.... It should find at least 1 file called bookmarks.html hopefully you find 2.
If you just find one, find out the file size and creation date. If you find 2, you will want the bigger file size one. And then you will have to import them into firefox, i can help you with that, but first let me know if you find any files...?
I found a 3kb one and a 16kb one. What now?
Okay I did a system restore to yesterday, and theres still no bookmarks..

Sweet, you have your bookmarks, hopefully.
What folder are they in? (Hopefully not IE)
Open firefox, click on bookmarks, click on organize bookmarks, then click on file, import, then select from file then select that file the bookmarks.html, (you will have to browse to wherever it is) and click ok, then your bookmarks should be there....make sure you select the bigger one...16kb.
Okay so I did that, and it gave me the default Firefox bookmarks. Like Forefox home and Firefox Help and Quick Search are on the toolbar now. None of my other shit came back.
Are you sure you selected the 16kb file? Cause the other file should be the default. Do this, search for that file again, and double click it. It should open in a Firefox window and you should see the bookmarks as links...Try both files and see if one of them are you bookmarks.

ok open up your bookmarks at the top of your browserGo to-> organize bookmarksShould bring you to Bookmarks Manager SelectFile - ImportA box will pop up select from file and select nextWhere it says file name type - %APPDATA%Then go to Mozilla - Firefox - Profiles - xxxxxxxxx (what ever numbers those are) then select bookmarks backup and see if they are in there.
I double clicked the 16 kb one and it brought up the default bookmarks page. None of my stuff.
It doesnt have a imported folder does it? Thats weird cause i only have like 70 bookmarks and the size of my file is only 7kb, so that 16kb one should be your bookmarks...
