Okay so I updated Firefox to the new version, because it said I should. So it wants to restart to make everything work right. Okay with me. So when it comes back up, Firefox is my homepage, and all my settings and bookmarks are gone. So I go back to the last version and its the same deal. This is the second time this shit has happend. Is there any way I can get all that shit back? I had welll over 300 bookmarks. I can't redo all that.
maybe do the back in time thing on the computer were ugo back to a later date
Yeah use "Go Back" if you can, you might be able to get some back if it hasn't been that long?
My friend just reformatted my pc and didn't save my favorites either! I lost about 300 links and he forgot to grab "my pictures" so I lost about 4,000 photos and several .psd files that I was working on.
It's okay though, I wasn't saving all that stuff for any special reason.....
Hope you get it back!
my firefox did that when i first updated it. for some reason, after i shut down my computer and turned it on the next day, everything was there again.
I shut mine down like 4 times. I just did it like 20 minutes ago.
How do you do the go back thing? I've done it before, but I can't remember where it is.
you could do a system restore your comp saves your settings at random intervals everday just set it back to the last time every thing worked
Start
All Programs
Accessories
System Tools
System Restore
What if you have XP and none of that stuff is in the start menu? Lol.

Mine was updated with no problems, resetting your homepage isnt a problem. Try and find your bookmarks by doing this...start>search>all files or folders> and search for *bookmarks*.* Just like that. Make sure in the look in box you have local drives.... It should find at least 1 file called bookmarks.html hopefully you find 2.
If you just find one, find out the file size and creation date. If you find 2, you will want the bigger file size one. And then you will have to import them into firefox, i can help you with that, but first let me know if you find any files...?
umm it should be. If not go to START Run and type:
%SystemRoot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
