Anyone ever have any problems mounting their compressors upside down, sideways or anything?

i wouldnt mount viars upside down, i heard it wears em out funny. i have a thomas mounted upside down w/ no problems tho.

Viar mounted sideways still kickin after 3 years on a daily.

Viar will not warranty the compressor if it is mounted any other way than straight up.

its because of the heat sink on the top, mounted sideways or upside down does not let the heat get to the fins and dissipate. Just like an amplifier.

They can easily be mounted sideways with no ill effects as the heat sink still is able to disappate most of the heat, but as Russ said, upside down and the heat sink becomes useless (heat rises).
