i've heard something about flipping the spindles so they act as 2 inch dropped spindles.does anyone know anything about this? is it safe?

definatly not safe, as it pulls the rim into the control arm. and its flipping the lower ball joint.

its the way the control arm is made. there isnt room for it.

when you flip the balljoint on them things you actually turn it over? everyone on the yota board just mounts the lower balljoint on the top of the lca, thats how mine is done. they aren't ranger arms though.

i actually haven't seen the front end of a newer 2wd ranger. but i think i got about 3/4" from flipping the lower, and its just as safe as it was before.

the guy who bagged my ranger put a 98 clip out of a ranger in a like 94 exploder. He cut the control off like 3 inches from the end and raised it like 2 inches. He gusseted it up and it looked good but he said he had to raise the rack and pinion to make everything work in theory. He said he wished he would have just stuck with the i beams....

sadly your better off w/ the 98 up clip then ibeams, even tho both designs isnt teh best for airbags and big wheels. also the lower ball joint is PRESSED in not bolted.

That's what's unsafe about ball joint flips, lol. Granted that's on the torsion bar setup, but the control arms would have to be cut similiarly. That's on 18's btw.
