ok, I got some wire to use, but what do I use to connect my factory 4 guage wire to my new 4 guage wire? I didn't think a splice connector would be enough, so would this work?

it's for 1/0 guage wire, but just wanted to know if it would work befor I go buy one.

I used a distribution block to hook up my fuse block under the hood. The battery was in the bed and i ran 4ga wire from the battery to the block then plugged the fuse block wire into the distribution block because it was a smaller ga wire. Works good.

well my main battery wire is a 6 guage, and then one for my factory fuse box is like 8 guage. so if I run a 4ga wire from the battery to a distribution block under the hood that splits into a 6 and an 8, and plug my factory fuse box wire, and the main power wire into that, would that work?

Thats almost exactly what i did on my old truck. The distribution block had one 4ga "in" and two 8ga "outs". Still workin to this day.

I only had one wire to hook up that powers the whole truck because it all goes thru the fuse block under the hood.

Make sure you fuse the wire running from the battery to the front. No more than 12 inches from battery.
