I like my Doestch Techs. They're firm and ride really smoth with my slams. Get a lot of travel and the do well everywhere but fully extended. Lol.

gatta love autozone products. I am just curious if "a shock is a shock" or is it worth a little more money for a shock designed for "lowered vehicles"

eh not really cuz there stiffer. most "shockes for lowered vehicles" are for static dropped ones who have short shock travels and need the stiff valving.

not all shocks are the same. ones for lowered vehicles have different valving to accomodate the lowered stance. basically they are stiffer on bound and rebound. its honestly personal taste. if you want a mushier ride, $15 monroe or gabriels are fine and will do the trick. if you want a stiffer more sporty ride, doestch techs, bell techs, kyb, qa1 etc may be more of your taste.

There is a HUGE difference in shocks. If there wasn't then all of the high-end shock companies wouldn't exist.

I've posted it several times already, but here goes again.

Steve Duck at RCDClasics.com

He is very knowlegeable and fair prices for a GOOD shock. They only deal in Bilstein, but they should have everything you would need.
