Ok i finally got a vehicle to drive daily while i work on my ranger. So since i want to Z it i figured i should just bd it at the same time. I plan on doing a traditional in the bed and a stockfloor under the cab. Does anyone know off hand how much i need to lower the cab mounts, i just want to lay rocker. Also will i have to lower my engine back down or justcut my hood...

I am thinking it can be stockfloored around 3 inches with a new frame. My buddy is building an older Ranger almost to the doors and he has to go over 6 inches. This is a combo of traditional and stock floor. Here is the new frame:

Here is the truck with all bodydrop and no suspension work yet:

I WOULD SUGGEST JUST BUILDING A NEW FRAME OUT OF 3X2 FROM THE Z ON BACK -- JUST DO SOMETHING PLAIN AND SIMPLE AND WELD YOUR STOCK MOUNTS TO IT -- HOPE ALL GOES WELL -- SHOW US SOME PICS OF THE PROGRESS --- MY TWO CENTS !!!

When you z your frame do you have to get long radiator hoses? or is it not that much of a difference...I have an electric fan that im going to run but i was just wondering about the hoses

I thought I post in here already today, lol.

You don't have to have longer radiator hoses for the Z or even the BD and a Z

maybe it depends on what motor because on joe's truck it needs a longer lower hose by a few inches

hey mike you got any pics of your bd, and did you just lay some 2x3 down in your frame well and weld it up then cut off the top of the frame rail and lower the body mounts?
