when it comes to fabrication control arms, u basically have 2 choices, balljoints or uniballs. im wondering the pros and cons of both. lately ive been leaning towards the uniballs, because f how clean it makes the control arms look. also like the the fact of using a grade 8 bolt to mount them. everyone please wiegh in on this topic
im a uniball person myself
uniball is like having a sand trap under your truck.Works good for show stuff though.

i like ball joints, if something breaks you can always get a replacement at the local cheapo auto parts store to get you home.
with uniballs, it just seems like the old heim joint 4 links to me. If you don't grease the damn thing every other week, it's going to squeak and eventually wear the joint out. & what are you gonna do if they put sand down on the roads in winter and you're forced to drive your bagged ride?

Whats to keep dirt out of your thousand dollar arms?
you said it is like having a sand trap under your truck.. i thought you were talking about something while driving.. I was asking b/c I have no experience with uniballs.
You know what I like nice parts and the way it reflects on our sport and I also don't like fighting on the internet so please read this before you get offended.Uniballs are badass if you have a show truck because you don't have to worry about dirt collecting in your ball but for something on the road I would use balljoints.I don't think uniballs actually change anything just cosmetic.I would run them on a truck without wipers if that makes sense.

I have been running heim joints on my truck for 6 years and never had a problem. Still have the same 8 on my 4-link bars that I originally put in them. Oh ya and I live on a dirt road, I have never greased them, ever, and they don't squeak or do anything out of the ordinary. I use personally regular ball joints. I think that uni-balls may give you extra travel on certain applications but it all comes down to preference.

sitting upright inches from your wheel is a little different.
