whats a good program to do some basic editing of stuff ive shot at shows? I wanna be able to add music and cut stuff out. what do you guys use?
I have used 3, Pinnacle, Adobe Premiere, and Video Explosion. Adobe BY FAR is the best, but you pay for it. It has some sweet effects that you can use. Video Explosion (by Nova Development) is great and a lot cheaper, but also doesnt have the effects that Premiere has. My opinion is to stay away from Pinnacle. I have had no luck at all with it. Every computer I have used it on ends up freezing or crashing during editing. Hope that helps a bit.

PC - Avid or Adobe Premiere (i use premier)Mac - Final Cut Pro (used it when going to film school and probably the best but i dont have a Mac)
but if you wanna do some basic BS then windows movie maker should be on your computer already....you can add music and shit that way
I had this same question a few months ago and I didn't get a single reply
But anyway I use ULEAD video studio. I haven't worked with it to much but from what i have seen, its a good cheap software package
thanks for all the info...i think im gonna try and get adobe premiere
get avid express trust me on this, premiere is alright but you'll spend the same on avid express and have a better program to work with and more industry support if you try to move up to avid pro or if you end up trying to get editing specific keyboards plus avid is a little more user friendly
