Get good 3 ton jacks, and good jack stands, its your life, last thing u want is a car to tip over, espeically if your under it.
I like all the 18 volt dewalt stuff
110 volt dewalt 4.5" grinder, should get you going.

Big tools are the really important one's.Like phil I love antique metal tools.Don't let the price fool you old metal stuff can be almost bullet prof if it's not worn out.Alot of the stuff I have will still be in working order when Im dead if not being used by someone else. These are the things I depend on everyday and is my top priority much like alot of people I assume.

I spent 13,000 last year alone on tools. in just under two years working as an bodyman/painter I have spent almost 21,000 on tools but 2500 was a huge snap on compresor and 3000 was a large snap on tool box. I started out with a craftsman set and as I bought better tools I take the cheaper stuff home. Tools are what makes me my money so I dont like breaking them so I buy good tools.

I've got some kalamazoo sanders and a 14" cut off saw. They work great, my 2 large sanders are 5 or less years old where my cut off saw is OLD and they still make it! I think my base is a bit heaver duty though, its a good 400+ LB

I have these 2 sanders which I use daily at the shop

This is just like my latest toy, powermatic band saw from the mid 70s.. But mine has a a hydraulic table attached to it.
