Tools are your life when you work in or own a shop. If you dont have the right tools to do a job your screwing yourself. I know guys with easy 150k in tools at their shops.

Been workng on getting all my tools for 10+ years also. I worked a 8-5 for 10 years and started buying tools about a year into it... over 100k in tooling sneaks up on ya preety quick. I get most of my stuff 2nd hand, or its old classic stuff. (I love old heavy ass tools)

Ebay and craftsman. Craftsman is decent price and you get a great warentee. SnapOn, Matco, Etc are better, but for the price if yer starting out, then go at least craftsman. Ebay craftsman tools are cheap. Also make friends with the local pawn shops, I did some free work for a guy that managed one about 10 years ago, its paid for itself time and time again. I've gotten lots of hand tools, gear wrenches, etc from there and more air saws, air chissels etc than I can even remember.

geez man buy the good shit, doesnt necesarily has to be snapon or matco but get something with a life time waranty. You want to go cheaper on handtools get craftsman, they got a lifetime waranty. You can never have enough tools.... Why buy the same ones twice???
