Daily Drivers with no A/C :IMPORTANT:

I'm debating on taking out my ac, because everytime I reglass my blower back it (cause my tire keeps rubbing it and rips it again), it falls back out. Do any of you have daily drivers with NO AC? Or do you reccomend keeping it? If so, does it get hot in the cab quickly with the windows up, and what if it is raining? I'd like to see some pics of how you took out you're blower box and all else. THIS IS A REALLY IMPORTANT DECISION, (but I can always get an underdash classic kit put in)

If you can manage to keep it you should. I dialy drove my truck for a while without heat or AC. Summers not bad, i can deal with the heat, but in the winter is a different story. Having no defrost sucks!!! when it's cold and the windows fog up it sucks having to wipe them down while your driving.

It seems like you just need to notch more out of your box or try and move it farther back.

everyone always says vintage air..vintage air......but has anyone actualy used in in a minitruck?..i dont think its really that hard to keep heat and a/c in most minis unless your running insane bodydrops and HUGE wheels and tires....i have stock heat and a/c in my toyota and its layin rocker on 20s

Well Im not body dropped, I just lay frame on 17s and I notched out the blower box and reglassed it back in, but it eventually rubbed it back down again. How do you actually move the blower back without shortening the blower blades? Cut into the firewall? some pics would be nice to see too

You can cut the firewall and push it in and reweld it. There are alot of companies like vintage air that are small enough to stuff behind the dash and just weld the hole. Depends on your budget. Oh and no way would I run a daily without at least a heater!!!

I plan to rip mine out but its no longer my daily. If you have to drive it every day I would find a way to keep it.
